Agoda

Agoda is an online travel agency. Travelers can use Agoda to search for hotels, flights, and various activities.

We started using Agoda in Japan, especially once Covid-19 hit. Our experience with Agoda has been convenient and easy. We book through Agoda because their relaxed hotel booking process. Through their site we have been able to cancel or change hotels or dates without hassle. Obviously like most things, be sure to view the hotels cancellation policies and give them the appropriate amount of time for notification.

Booking.com

Booking is another online travel agency. Booking is mainly known for hotels, but you can also search for flights, car rentals, and view other services through their site.

We use Booking.com a lot when booking hotel rooms. I like the page layout, it’s easy to navigate and find great deals. You can sort listings by price or by review to find exactly what you need.

Get Your Guide

Get Your Guide is an online travel agency based out of Germany. They specialize in tours and excursions. You can enter in a city or destination and a list of fun and exciting tours will be available. Get Your Guide has everything from cooking classes to kayak tours.

Laowa Camera Lenses

Laowa Camera Lenses have changed how I do photography. I’ve always been interested in Macro Photography and a friend recommended checking out Laowa and I’ve been hooked.

These are manual lenses meaning you have more control of the pictures you are taking. Because these lenses are fully manual, they are cheaper in price then some auto focus lenses, so it’s another win!

Rentalcars

Rentalcars is an online car rental booking service. They operate throughout the world. Using their site is easy too, you simply enter in your destination, dates, and time, it then searches or the best deals. You can use the filter to select car options that meet your travel needs.

We recently used Rentalcars on a trip to Mie and Wakayama Prefectures in Japan and the whole process was a breeze.

TripAdvisor

I’ve used TripAdvisor for several years and it’s still one of my go to apps and websites especially when searching for attractions and restaurants near places I’m traveling to.

TripAdvisor has a convenient app. On the app, you can view hotels, things to do, restaurants, and forums. One of my favorite features that I use is the map. When searching for restaurants and attractions I always pull up the map to discover new places in my surrounding area.

Viator

Viator is a company that offers tours and other activities. I use Viator a lot when searching for day trips when I am traveling. On their website, you can enter in your location and a list of tours will show up varying in price. Their tours offer everything from discovering food tours to adventurous and cultural tours. The last couple tours I booked through Viator were a trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina from Split, Croatia and a day trip to Montenegro from Dubrovnik. Both tours were incredible and the days were jam packed. The tour guides are always knowledgeable and I end up learning so much on trips that I book through Viator.
