✈︎ My Travels Around South America
As of today, the only country in South America I’ve visited is Peru. Peru was quite the adventure and definitely one of my most memorable trips. I spent about a week in Lima, trekked the Salkantay Trail to Machu Picchu, and explored the historic capital of Cusco.
Lima ranks as one of my top food destinations. The fresh ceviche, delicious Lomo Saltado, and abundant seafood make Lima one of my favorites. The food was cheap and the lunch specials seemed to always come with a Pisco Sour.
Trekking to Machu Picchu for five days is an experience I’ll never forget. Hiking amongst gorgeous mountains, glacial lakes, and some of the most beautiful scenery on earth is worth the trip alone. But then arriving at Machu Picchu watching as the fog clears revealing the ancient city is a site I’ll always remember.
