I currently live in Japan and have since 2019. I spent a few years in Japan on lock-down during COVID-19 which was both a blessing and a curse. I lived near Hiroshima, but couldn’t fully explore the city as much as I’d like since it was on lock down. The positive aspect about living in Japan during Covid was that I got to fully explore cities like Kyoto and Nara without any tourists. I climbed Mt. Fuji too and the mountain was tourist-free.

My first trip to Asia was in 2017, I flew to South Korea and Japan not knowing I’d be living there a few years later. Since 2019, I’ve explored a lot of East and South East Asia. One of my favorite and most adventurous trips has been Mongolia, specifically, getting outside of Ulaanbaatar and experiencing what “Real” Mongolia is like.
